We’re excited to introduce Abby, our new AmeriCorps volunteer and recent graduate from the University of Georgia, where she earned her degree in International Affairs and a minor in Global Health. Abby is thrilled to be back in Maryland and ready to serve the Baltimore community through SIF.
During her time interning with a Child Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, Abby discovered her passion for supporting youth, advocating for their education, and championing their well-being. Now, she’s bringing that same dedication to SIF, where she’ll be empowering middle school students to master financial concepts, build solid money management skills, and develop a sense of independence and self-worth that reaches beyond the classroom.
Abby will also be working in several programmatic areas, supporting teachers in our partner schools and helping to improve the curriculum through updates. She’ll collaborate closely with both SIF staff and teachers to build strong relationships and provide support as needed.
